Judge Jason Mayfield is a lifelong resident of the Refuge Community in Pickens County. He is a Pickens County High School graduate, Class of 1994. Shortly after graduation, he began a career in manufacturing while continuing his education at Chattahoochee Technical College. He went on to serve over 30 years in the aerospace and defense industry before retiring. On February 10, 2025, he was appointed to Pickens County Magistrate Judge.

Judge Mayfield is deeply committed to his community. He also holds stations in various committees, local organizations and is very passionate about the support and well-being of his fellow residents. As an avid sportsman, he enjoys spending time outdoors. When not in the field, he and Erika value the time spent with their family, friends, and animals. They have two children, four grandchildren and a small goat farm that they are very proud of.
